You can write documents in other languages and you can also configure LyX to show its menus and error messages in other languages. Even the right-to-left languages Arabic, Farsi, and Hebrew and the Asian languages Chinese Japanese, and Korean are supported. Therefore, LyX has better support for non-English languages (such as Dutch, German, French, Greek, Czech, Turkish, …) than many word processors.
